An outspoken Christian star will host this year's show.
In the past week, we've had separate articles on the nominees for this year's Movieguide Awards and on Candace Cameron Bure's convocation appearance at Liberty University. Today, Movieguide announced the host for the 27th edition of show and, coincidence of coincidences, it's none other than Candace Cameron Bure! Wow, what are the odds?
Movieguide is an organization that rates movies from a Christian perspective and Cameron Bure is an outspoken Christian actress who is very warm and completely at ease in a live setting - a la hosting an awards show - so this pairing makes plenty of sense.
Her daughter, Natasha Bure, will join her as co-host for the event, which takes place on February 8th and will air later in the month on the Hallmark Channel. The threads of this tapestry could be woven in a very interesting fashion indeed, depending on who wins the award for the most inspiring performance in a television show. Guess who's one of the seven nominees for that one? Yep, it's Candace Cameron Bure for her role in A Shoe Addict's Christmas. Okay, three more guesses as to which channel ran that TV movie...Hallmark. Oh, my!
