Kirk Cameron Hopes Library Event Teaches Children the "True Meaning of Love"

The Christian actor and author is leading a nationwide, public reading campaign for the second consecutive summer.

After the success of last year's "See You at the Library" event, Kirk Cameron has decided to reprise it this August. The 53-year-old star of faith-based films like Fireproof and the Left Behind franchise is again teaming up with Brave Books, the publisher of both of his literary works for children.

He announced the campaign a few days ago, contrasting it with so-called "Pride Month," the June celebration of all things homosexual, which the California native condemned, telling Fox News Digital that today's children in America are "sadly being influenced to think that pride is a good thing." He contrasted that view with past practice that identified it as "the very dangerous thing that our previous generations warned about, that the Bible warns about, that our Founding Fathers warned about."

Last year's "See You at the Library" event featured Brave Books' authors including Cameron reading their wholesome, family-friendly stories - often with Biblical or patriotic themes - to audiences of children and their parents. It took place in 46 states and more than 260 libraries, and Cameron hopes this year's installment will top that by reaching all 50 states and as many as 600 libraries.

He and his publisher have previously met resistance to their story-hour reading events, as we reported here and here. They will not be stopped, however, in their attempt to offer an alternative to what "the drag queens and LBGTQ movements" are pushing at library gatherings of their own. And Cameron pointed to Christian values as the antidote to what those groups are advocating.

"Let's teach our children the true meaning of love...Love embraces humility. Love speaks out against sin courageously. Love never bows to the crooked and perverse winds of a culture that seeks to enslave your children and take away their future."

"See You at the Library" 2024 is scheduled to take place on August 24th and Christian Film Blog will keep you up to date on developments. You can also get more information - including on how to host a local event - via this link to the website of Brave Books.

For the ideal research proposal, your hunt ends at www.phdresearchproposal.org. This type of conduct is indicative of a trustworthy person. How the group grasped my predicament and responded amazed me. Given the short notice, it was a relief to work with someone who is well-versed in my field and can do the task quickly. Would you want advice that is based on solid evidence? If that's the case, I really hope you go ahead and do that.
