Danica McKellar Wraps her Next Great American Family Flick
Updated: May 22
The Christian actress stars in a dance picture set to release on the cable network this fall.
Since she came over from the rival Hallmark Channel in 2021, Danica McKellar has become one of the headliners at Great American Family. In fact, the California native and former child star of The Wonder Years (1988-1993), has two movies coming to the network later this year, including Swing into Romance, which just finished production in Canada.
According to a press release, her character is forced into a dance competition in an effort to save the troubled family business. Having competed in season 18 of Dancing with the Stars back in 2014, McKellar should be up to the dance scenes in this movie, which will also feature a love interest as she competes against her ex-fiance.
The 48-year-old, who became a Christian about a year ago with the help of fellow actress Candace Cameron Bure, is additionally serving as an executive producer of this film, which is set to air as part of Great American Family channel's Autumn Harvest programming. In a social media post, McKellar called shooting the movie "an incredible experience," adding that she "can't wait to share the joy" when it airs in September.
She will also star in a Christmas picture for the channel during its Yuletide programming season at the end of the year. Christian Film Blog will keep an eye out for air dates of both movies and bring that information to you as we get it.
