Christmas with Will Graham

The pastor will host an online Yuletide outreach featuring footage of his late grandfather, the Reverend Billy Graham.

At first glance, this story may seem a bit far afield since the province of Christian Film Blog is primarily the faith-based movie business. But we're going with it for the sake of Christmas, one, and because Will Graham actually played his famous grandfather in 2018 in the Christian film Unbroken: Path to Redemption, two. For good measure, he's also a distant relative of Ben Graham, a pastor from outside Nashville who's executive producer of our feature film, Miracle on Christmas.

Will Graham, the son of pastor Franklin Graham, head of the Christian charity Samaritan's Purse, will host the streaming event from The Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, NC. And it's a real family affair, too, because in addition to his Christmas sermon and the aforementioned historical footage of Billy Graham, Will's wife, Kendra, is going to perform a Christmas story reading. Mark Christian - obviously not a Graham - will do the honors with the musical component of the production.

The event's called Christmas with Will Graham: an Online Celebration and it's scheduled for December 20th at 6:00 PM EST. You can watch free of charge via this link to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's website.

In the meantime, you may want to check out a four-week Advent devotional from Will, which you can sign up for here.
