The children's show is the latest collaboration between the Christian actor and faith-based and conservative publisher Brave Books.

Top Christian streamer Great American Pure Flix is now offering Iggy and Mr. Kirk on its service. The subscription-based outfit this week put up the first two episodes of the ten-episode first season of the program, which features live action and animated segments that teach life lessons and Biblical truth.

Paired with a puppet iguana named Iggy, Kirk Cameron is the star of the show that is set in a treehouse and involves other actors, including Leigh-Allyn Baker, who - like Cameron - is a committed Believer. This is a production from Texas-based publisher Brave Books, a longtime partner of Cameron and one with whom he has published several works for children. In terms of the Great American Pure Flix development, it no doubt did not hurt that his sister - Candace Cameron Bure, also a committed Christian - is Chief Creative Officer at the streamer's parent company, Great American Media.
The original plan for the show, which is in the vein of the American television classic Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, was to simultaneously release two seasons comprised of ten episodes each. Production delays and evident funding issues put off the second season and there is no word yet on when or if it will be forthcoming.
If you subscribe to Pure Flix, you can check out those first two episodes via this link to the platform; we have not yet seen a release schedule for the rest of Season 1. You can, however, find that right now in its entirety on the Brave+ streaming platform, and though that is also subscription-based, episodes one through five are currently available for free to non-subscribers.
