The latest episodes of the series about the earthly ministry of Jesus cover the final days before His crucifixion.

If you missed the fifth season of The Chosen when in theaters earlier this year, you will now be able to catch all the action in the comfort of your own home, assuming that is that you are a subscriber of Prime Video. That Amazon entertainment platform will release it on Sunday, June 15th, and remain its exclusive streaming home for three months.
The eight-episode season is set in Jerusalem during Holy Week and features the Jesus Character, portrayed by American actor Jonathan Roumie, playing out some of the most famous moments in Scripture: The Triumphal Entry, driving out the buyers and sellers in the Temple, and the Last Supper, among others. It was released theatrically in three parts, starting in late March, and delivered an impressive North American box office haul of $43 million.
As with that theatrical release, Prime Video will put out the season in three parts, starting with episodes one and two this Sunday. The following Sunday, June 22nd, will see the release of episodes three through five, with the final three episodes - six, seven, and eight - coming out on Sunday, June 29th. After its exclusive run on Amazon's platform, Season 5 will roll out in September on the The Chosen app, where it will be free to stream worldwide.
Dallas Jenkins, the Christian filmmaker behind the project plans for the show to run seven seasons in total - he is currently shooting Season 6 - and has previously stated that Season 5 is "intense and passionate," revealing "a side of Jesus (that viewers have) never seen before." That includes a visceral display of his anger in the aforementioned Temple scene, which you can check out in the trailer below.
