The Gospel Music Association's annual Dove Awards show naturally enough focuses on Christian music. It does, however, have one category related to faith-based movies - Inspirational Film of the Year - and that is what A Week Away has been nominated for.

The movie, which debuted in March on Netflix, stars Kevin Quinn and Bailee Madison as teens at a Christian summer camp and it features loads of hit songs from some of the biggest names in the Christian music business: Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman and For King & Country, to name but a few.

As we reported at the time of its release, A Week Away was a huge hit for the streaming behemoth, both in America and around the world. It is up against four other Christian films, including My Brothers' Keeper, which stars T.C. Stallings and was directed by Kevan Otto, who produced our inaugural faith-based film, Miracle on Christmas. You can check all the nominees via this link to the 52nd annual GMA Dove Awards' website.

The event takes place October 19th in Nashville and, with such an emphasis on music in the movie, we suspect A Week Away has a very good chance to bring home the trophy in its category.
