Chonda Pierce Has a New Movie Coming Out This Summer

The Christian comedienne plays a principal part in a production from the Hallmark Channel.

Primarily recognized for her clean comedy - she is after all the top-selling female comedian in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America - Chonda Pierce also knows her way around a movie set, having starred in faith-based films like Selfie Dad (2020) and Roll with It (2023), among others. Now she is bringing her talent to the Hallmark Channel in Double Scoop.

The romantic comedy focuses on a battle between two ad agents trying to land an account with a small-town dairy farm featuring "the most delectable ice cream in the country," as a synopsis puts it. That farm belongs to Pierce's character; the aforementioned ad agents are played by Ryan McPartlin and Taylor Cole, whose characters not surprisingly end up finding romance.

The production is part of a series of films debuting on Hallmark Channel in August, with a new one scheduled to come out every weekend. One other note about Chonda Pierce: she is going on a live comedy tour later this year.
