The Christian entertainer is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Kathie Lee Gifford has done it all, from singing, acting and hosting morning TV to her latest endeavor as a screenwriter and filmmaker. Now she has cemented her place in Hollywood - literally: she will be one of the 2020 honorees who get a star on Hollywood Boulevard.
It's the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's selection committee that doles out the famous awards and they have seen fit to include Gifford, who earlier this spring ended an 11-year run on NBC's Today show. Her former co-host Hoda Kotb congratulated her this morning on social media.
"Yessssssss!!! My girl will soon get her star on the Hollywood walk of fame!!!! Congrats @kathielgifford."
No firm date has yet been announced for Gifford's award ceremony and that will likely depend on when she can fit it into her schedule. She has been very busy since stepping down from the Today gig: she moved to Nashville, has been writing and recording songs, working on her movies and no doubt glorifying the Lord, which she seems to do wherever she goes.
