The one-time NFL quarterback and recent movie executive weds former Miss Universe in South Africa.
Tim Tebow, a former Heisman Trophy winner, NCAA champion and QB for the Denver Broncos is best known as an outspoken Christian athlete...oh, he plays professional baseball now in the New York Mets' farm system, too. But the 32-year-old did serve as executive producer of last year's faith-based movie Run the Race, so we'll take this opportunity to congratulate him and his bride on their nuptials!
The lucky lady is Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, a 24-year-old South African who won the Miss Universe title in 2017. They wed today in Cape Town in front of approximately 260 family and friends. Tebow told People magazine that he had been looking forward to three things: seeing her in her wedding dress, their first kiss and their first dance. And he says his marriage to Nel-Peters was worth the wait.
"I've been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with. I was waiting for the right person to come along. And now I'm marrying Demi. I can't wait to see what our future holds. All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait."
