Episodes one through three of the fourth season of The Chosen rang up $5.9 million at the weekend box office, putting the production behind only first-place finisher Argylle, an action comedy that brought in nearly $17.5 million, according to The Numbers website. When you throw in Thursday preview showings, The Chosen now stands at more than $7.3 million in total revenue.

As good as those figures are, however, they are significantly below the opening weekend tally for episodes one and two of Season 3, which debuted in theaters back in November of 2022 and managed to bring in $8.7 million. Unlike with that season, all of Season 4 will release in theaters, as we have previously reported, in three installments, running consecutively for two weeks each over the month of February and into early march.

If you would like to catch this first part of the production on the big screen, you have through February 14th and can purchase tickets via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events. After all three installments complete their theatrical run, Season 4 will then become available for free on the show's app.
