We've gotten our first detailed look at the latest project from Christian actor and singer Pat Boone. Teaser trailers are usually abbreviated clips to whet the appetite well before a movie's more traditional trailer is released, but this one is anything but abbreviated: it runs a whopping six minutes and change.

Boone - the 1950s singing icon - is still going strong at 87-years-old, playing a character known as the "Old Pro" in The Mulligan, which is based on a book by the same name as we first reported here. The project wrapped production last month in Georgia and will feature some other big names on screen, including professional golfer Tom Lehman, broadcaster Jim Nance and Georgia-based pastor and best-selling author Jentezen Franklin.

The cast includes Eric Close in the lead role, portraying a successful businessman whose personal life is falling apart. Enter Boone, who plays both golf pro and mentor to the younger man. Christian actresses Nancy Stafford and Tanya Christiansen also are among the film's principal players.

There is no firm release date for The Mulligan, but it will debut at some point in 2022. Until then, the teaser trailer below gives a good sense of what to expect.
