Sneak Peak of the Next Episode of "The Chosen"

The team behind this hit series about Jesus' earthly ministry gives a flavor for what to expect for the second episode of this new season.

Season two of The Chosen releases episode two tomorrow (Tuesday). We were able to watch a preview screening today (Monday) and can share some very broad impressions...show creator and director Dallas Jenkins asked that no spoilers be revealed, so we must skip the details.

A few more of the Apostles join the cast in this one, which is more about the interplay in Jesus' inner circle than it is about his external ministry. And the backstory of one of the newcomers is particularly interesting as it shares some of the hallmarks of Jenkins' own personal trials, trials that helped bring him to this project. Christian Film Blog has covered that previously and we recommend you read the article, because it is uplifting and provides a window into Jenkins' journey of faith.

He and his team have also released a short clip from the new episode, featuring the Jesus character, played by Jonathan Roumie, discussing the future with the Apostle Peter. You can watch that via this link to the program's Facebook page. The full episode debuts Tuesday, April 13th, at 9:00 PM EDT (GMT -4) and you can watch it for free on The Chosen app (Apple or Android) or its YouTube channel.
