Small Step Back for "Round of Your Life"

The Christian sports drama loses some theaters and sees a corresponding drop in revenue at the weekend box office.

Round of Your Life went from four theaters to two for its second weekend, and - voilà - brought in half the money it did a week earlier. According to Box Office Mojo, it took home about $2,200 from Friday through Sunday, putting it in 67th place overall.

There is, however, good news for this faith-based film: its theater count will jump after Independence Day, when it adds 11 more. You can check this link to one of its social media pages to find out if there's one in your area.

Round of Your Life tells the fictional story of a high school golf prodigy who resists his calling until tragedy hits his family. It stars Christian actor Richard T. Jones, Evan Hara, Alexandria DeBerry, Katie Leclerc, Katherine Willis, Boo Arnold and Tim Ogletree, who also wrote the screenplay.

Finally, a correction: last week, citing information from Box Office Mojo, we wrote that this picture had the third highest per-theater earnings performance in the Top-15. Turns out that calculation was made with the total revenue against just one theater, not the four where it actually debuted. Christian Film Blog apologizes for the error.
