The production is one of the Christian director's early feature films and it is marking its 15th anniversary.

With more than 250 million global viewers of The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins is primarily known as the man behind that hit series about the life of Christ. But it is one of his first forays into moviemaking that is getting the attention this week. The film is called What If and it will play on the silver screen for just two days.
The faith-based picture stars a well-known cast, including Christian actor Kevin Sorbo in the lead role. He is joined by Kristy Swanson and John Ratzenberger, and the plot is inspired by Jenkin's favorite movie, the 1946 classic It's a Wonderful Life, which stars James Stewart and Donna Reed.
In this production, Sorbo is visited by an angel - played by Ratzenberger - who gives him a chance to see what his life would have been like if he had made different choices. So, instead of being the money-hungry, success-driven bachelor that he is, he is thrust into the life of a small-town pastor, husband to his high-school sweetheart - portrayed by Swanson - and the father of their two children.
In addition to the film, moviegoers will be treated to a special feature, with Jenkins and those cast members reminiscing about the production of the film and its impact. The re-release of What If will be in theaters just tomorrow, August 5th, and Thursday, August 7th, and you can get tickets to a venue in your area via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events.
