The Christian film's theater count drops into single digits.
Run the Race played in just eight theaters over the weekend and earned $1,600, according to Box Office Mojo. The film, from Christian executive producers Tim Tebow and Robby Tebow, has earned $6.4 million since it debuted in February. It needs to bring in a little over $1,000 more to move up to 39th place on the all-time Christian box office list, so it's had a good run.
The Chris Dowling-directed movie stars Evan Hofer and Tanner Stine as brothers relying on each other, their athletic talent and Christian faith to overcome hardship. It features a strong supporting cast, including Hollywood vets Mykelti Williamson, Mario Van Peebles, Frances Fisher and Kristoffer Polaha.
