"Run the Race" Meets Box Office Expectations

Updated: Feb 25, 2019

The faith-based film squeaks into the Top-10 on its opening weekend.

According to preliminary numbers, Run the Race brought in $2.16 million from Friday through Sunday. That puts it at number 10 overall on Box Office Mojo's list of top performers and within the $2 million to $3 million range that experts were predicting.

This Chris Dowling-directed picture stars Evan Hofer and Tanner Stine as teenage brothers relying on each other and their athletic abilities to pull themselves out of difficult life circumstances. Rounding out a strong cast are Hollywood veterans Frances Fisher, Kristoffer Polaha, Mario Van Peebles and Mykelti Williamson.

Outspoken Christian athlete Tim Tebow and his brother Robby Tebow, in their inaugural effort, were executive producers of the film, which is compelling and well-worth seeing. You can check out Christian Film Blog's review via this link.
