After 11-plus weeks in theaters, the final curtain has come down on Overcomer. The sixth feature from the brother duo of Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick, the $5 million movie performed well, bringing in $34.7 million in North American ticket sales, putting it behind only War Room, among their other productions.

Co-written by the brothers, this picture has a very direct Gospel message, focusing on the importance of finding our identity in Christ, and it benefits from strong performances from a good cast of Christian actors: Cameron Arnett, Shari Rigby, Priscilla Shirer, Aryn Wright-Thompson and Alex Kendrick, who also directed the movie.

Overcomer has brought in an additional $677,000 in revenue from overseas and that number will go up when it opens tomorrow in theaters in Brazil, which is almost certain to be its best international market. There will also be more revenue from sales of the movie. It becomes available in the digital format on November 26th and on DVD and Blu-ray starting December 17th, just in time for Christmas.
