The latest film from Christian moviemakers the Kendrick Brothers is due out in late summer.
Overcomer focuses on the importance of believers' finding their indentity in Christ and it is the sixth faith-based movie from Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick. Co-written by the pair, it's produced by Stephen and directed by Alex, who also stars in the lead role.
He plays a successful high school basketball coach who questions his worth when forced to take up a new challenge he feels ill-equipped for. The film also stars Priscilla Shirer, Shari Rigby, Aryn Wright-Thompson and Cameron Arnett.
Overcomer is set for release on August 23rd, but the trailer came out today and you can view it below. In addition to the aforementioned cast and crew, it also features the number one hit song You Say from Christian singer Lauren Daigle, so the soundtrack is bound to be quite a compliment to the film.
