With movie theaters all over America closed for a month and a half now, this event has the potential to be a big hit with fans of faith-based films. The brother duo of Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick, the number one moviemakers in the genre, are hosting an online party centered around War Room, their highest-ever grossing picture.

The movie, which stars Priscilla Shirer, T.C. Stallings, Karen Abercrombie and Alex Kendrick - who also directed it - focuses on the power of prayer and plays out against the backdrop of a rocky marriage between the characters of Shirer and Stallings. During its theatrical run in 2015, War Room managed to do something Christian movies virtually never do: it claimed the top spot at the box office for a weekend. The movie ultimately brought in $74 million in worldwide ticket revenue - with a production budget of just $3 million - a box office haul nearly double that of Overcomer, the next best picture from the brothers.

Now then, how does this watch party work? First, you will need to have your own copy of the movie to watch, be it on disc or in the digital format. Once you've got that, you'll be ready for the party element, which will consist of Alex and Stephen Kendrick, Priscilla Shirer, T.C. Stallings and some surprise guests watching simultaneously and reminiscing and sharing their thoughts via a Facebook livestream. Stephen promises they will also, "talk about the Lord and have a prayer time" to wrap up the event.

The virtual shindig kicks off at 8:00 PM EDT/5:00 PM PDT, when everyone will sync up and watch together. You'll be able to join in via the Kendrick Brothers' Facebook page at this link. And remember: you must have your own copy of War Room in order to watch the movie. If you don't yet own it, you can purchase a digital copy via this link to the Kendrick Brothers' website.
