Nicole C. Mullen sings her new song live on NBC's "Today" show and it has quite an effect.
As we have reported several times, this is the final week on NBC's Today show for Kathie Lee Gifford. The outspoken Christian will do her final broadcast this Friday, wrapping up an 11-year run on the morning show, and, wow, are they going all out for her.
This morning, her friend Nicole C. Mullen made a surprise appearance in the studio to sing her new song The God Who Sees, the title track from a new short film that is directed by Gifford. Writing and making movies, by the way, is what Gifford will do after she moves on from Today.
As to Mullen, who plays the lead role in this Holyland story, she is a multiple Grammy nominee and Gospel Music Association Dove Award winner. For our money, this song may well be her best ever. In fact, the live performace this morning actually brought Gifford to tears.
