Chip and Joanna Gaines are Coming Back to TV

Not only is the Christian couple returning to the small screen, they will be doing it on their own network.

Best known for the HGTV hit show Fixer Upper, the Christian couple decided in 2017 to pull the plug on that home renovation program so they could focus on their marriage and family. It would seem that the Gaineses succeeded in that: Joanna gave birth to a son, Crew, four months ago. Now with five children, ranging in age from infant to 13, they are ready to get back to doing TV.

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, the couple announced plans for their new cable network. It will be called Magnolia, after the Gaineses' home decoration company, and will be done in partnership with Discovery, owner of HGTV.

In keeping with the couple's Chrisitian faith, Discovery confirmed that the network will focus on "inspiring and family-friendly content." Chip Gaines added that much of the content will be shot near their hometown of Waco, TX so that they can remain close to their children.

Not many details yet on the platform, though home remodeling is no doubt going to be a part of it. It looks like we can expect the launch in the next year and a half. In the meantime, you can check out their announcement from The Tonight Show.
