It is never too early to start thinking about Christmas, at least not when you have 21 new movies to make before your 24/7 holiday programming kicks off in late October. That is exactly what Great American Family is planning, and for the second consecutive year, Candace Cameron Bure will headline the network's Yuletide lineup.

According to Deadline, her new movie is called My Christmas Hero, and she stars as a doctor - and reservist - who treats service members and their families. The outspoken Believer and former Fuller House star says she and the channel are pleased to focus the production on the military.

"We are proud to tell a story that honors our U.S. veterans this Christmas season. From WW2 to present day veterans, we shine the spotlight on their heroic work as well as aftercare needs."

Bure, who moved over to Great American Family last year from Hallmark Channel, is not only the upstart network's top on-camera star, but also fills the role of its Chief Creative Officer, a position that gives her a voice in content curation. Her first film for the channel - A Christmas...Present - ran last Yuletide season and featured a strong Christian storyline; she also helped secure an Easter stage play that ran on Great American Family this year on Good Friday.

As was the case with her inaugural Christmas picture, Bure's Candy Rock Entertainment production company will help produce this new movie. There is no announced air date yet for My Christmas Hero and we do not know whether it will be a faith-based picture, but Christian Film Blog will follow developments and update you as warranted.
