The two Christian actresses just wrapped production on the Great American Family channel film.

Christmas 2025 is still more than seven months away, but the next made-for-TV Yuletide flick from Candace Cameron Bure is already in the can. The headline star for Great American Family recently completed the filming of Timeless Tidings of Joy, which will roll out later this year as part of the cable network's fifth annual Great American Christmas programming event.

The 49-year-old wife and mother of three adult children will play a character who inherits a shop opened by her grandmother in the 1940s, a shop that she plans to sell until, as the synopsis puts it, "divine intervention forces (her) to take a new, or rather old look at the fate" of the establishment. In an interesting twist, her 26-year-old real-life daughter Natasha Bure will portray the grandmother character in what will no doubt be flashback scenes from the early days of the store.
Candace Cameron Bure, who is also the Chief Content Officer at Great American Media, the parent company of Great American Family, also plays opposite someone she has co-starred with in the past, Paul Greene. The two of them were on screen together back in 2015 for a Hallmark Channel Yuletide movie called A Christmas Detour. In a press release for this new film, the lead actress states that it will feature some nostalgia and focus on things that matter through the generations.
"In a world of technology, Timeless Tidings of Joy harkens back to a simpler time and the core values passed to us by our parents and grandparents. It reminds us that the best gifts we receive, are the ones we freely give away."
There is no word yet on when the movie will debut, but the aforementioned Great American Christmas programming slate typically runs from late October through the end of the year. Christian Film Blog will bring you updates as we get them, so do check back with us.
