Cameron Bure Supports Troubled Co-Star

The outspoken Christian actress says she is lifting up Lori Loughlin in prayer.

Candace Cameron Bure and Lori Loughlin have shared the small screen together for more than a decade, first on Full House in the 80s and 90s and then on Fuller House, the current Netflix reboot. Loughlin is unlikely to be acting any time soon, however, having recently been charged with federal crimes for alleged participation in a college admissions bribery scheme.

In fact, she has already been dismissed from another long-running TV gig. The Hallmark Channel fired Loughlin from its hit show When Calls the Heart in mid-March when the case first broke, with its parent company saying they've "stopped development of all productions involving her." That has left the show up in the air.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Cameron Bure is nonetheless demonstrating Christian compassion and refusing to criticize her friend. This morning on NBC's Today show, she publicly lent her support to Loughlin for the second time in as many weeks.

"I've already said that we are family and we stand by each other and pray for each other and will always be there for each other."

No one, including Cameron Bure, is justifying Loughlin's alleged behavior in this matter, and the law may will render severe judgement. We at Christian Film Blog, however, find it encouraging to see her extending Christian grace rather than condemnation to someone in such a difficult situation.
