The faith-based film opens this weekend and faces stiff competition.
One of three new movies with nationwide release, the Harold Cronk-directed picture will open in 1,235 locations. The studio is apparently anticipating a weekend haul of as much as $4.5 million.
The website Box Office Mojo, on the other hand, thinks that may be overly optimistic. Citing IMDb page views for the movie as an indicator, BOM is predicting $3 million tops for God Bless the Broken Road and a 9th place finish in box office receipts for the weekend.
