The Season 4 finale of the hit series about the life of Jesus gets off to a solid start in its first weekend in theaters.
Episodes seven and eight of The Chosen brought in $3.2 million in ticket revenue from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers website. That was good enough for fourth place at the box office over the weekend for this streaming show that stars Jonathan Roumie in the role of Jesus.
These two episodes comprise the third and final installment of Season 4, all of which has released in theaters. It also delivered the lowest opening weekend revenue of the three: the inaugural installment earned $5.9 million the first weekend of February and the second installment brought in $3.6 million during its first weekend in release in the middle of the month.
This final installment is set to play in theaters through March 14th and you can purchase tickets to a venue in your area via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events. All eight episodes of Season 4 will become available for free through The Chosen app at some point after it completes its theatrical release.
