"Running the Bases" Turns in a Good Debut Performance
This faith-based picture claims a spot in the Top-20 at the box office during its inaugural weekend.
Running the Bases landed in 16th place from Friday through Sunday, bringing in $538,000, according to Box Office Mojo. It played in 1,080 theaters, meaning it generated just under $500 per venue, in line with other films that finished in the same overall range.
The picture stars Christian actor Brett Varvel as a high school baseball coach who must decide whether to publicly live out his faith or give into pressure to keep it private. The rest of the cast is strong and features several other veteran actors who are Believers: Gigi Orsillo, Cameron Arnett and Todd Terry.
