Battling Dinosaurs and Aliens - Yes! But Hollywood Intolerance?

Actor Chris Pratt, of Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy fame, challenges the stereotypes on what it's like being a Christian in Tinseltown.

The A-list actor and outspoken believer tells Associated Press he has not experienced an anti-Christian side of Hollywood. He says it is more a "pro whatever is authentic to you" attitude, and he's glad it is that way.

"Because it's authentic for me to be pro-Christian, pro-Jesus. That's my thing. I like it. And I've never had anyone try to shame me, to my face. Maybe they go say it behind my back, but if that's the case, go ahead."

This is not the first public profession of faith by Pratt. Earlier this summer, he stole the show at an MTV awards event, telling the crowd, "God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you."

He wrapped up that speech by assuring members of the audience no one is perfect, adding that that is okay because there is grace.

"And grace is a gift. And like the freedom we enjoy in this country, that grace was paid for with somebody else's blood. Do not forget it. Don't take it for granted."

How's that for straight talk about Christianity? Not the sort of thing one gets often from the Hollywood set, at least not in such a public forum. If you want to hear more from Chris Pratt, check out the AP interview.
