Running the Bases claimed 18th place at the box office from Friday through Sunday, according to preliminary data from The Numbers website, bringing in $240,000. That is down one spot and nearly $300,000 from its inaugural weekend and is due in part to a significant drop in theaters showing the picture: that number fell from 1,080 venues in week one to just under 700 over the past weekend.

The film, which stars Christian actors Brett Varvel, Gigi Orsillo, Cameron Arnett and Todd Terry, has now brought in just north of $1 million total over ten days in release. Though the budget has not been revealed publicly, that is nonetheless a significant milestone for a small, independent film like this.
