Kathie Lee Gifford, the faith-based filmmaker and former Today show co-host, is offering a Bible study connected to her film The Way and its companion book The God of the Way, both of which came out this year and which we reported on here and here, respectively. This new study - available for free starting next month - is entitled The God of the How and When and focuses on famous figures from the Bible and the trust they demonstrated in the Lord while waiting on his timing.

As with the aforementioned book, Gifford co-wrote this study with Rabbi Jason Sobel, a well-known messianic Jewish scholar: he also co-authored Gifford's 2018 bestseller The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi and serves as a consultant on The Chosen, the hit streaming show about the life of Christ. Their Bible study is broken in to six parts and profiles Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Joshua and Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Promotional material for the study explains that Gifford and Sobel pay particular attention to "what it really means to trust that God's ways are higher than our ways" and delve into "what it takes to truly trust Him." In a related video, Gifford says that they want to use these figures from Scripture to help participants understand how to "keep the faith in God's timing."

Each of the six episodes of The God of the How and When online study will feature Gifford and Sobel leading participants through a video lesson, the first of which will begin on January 16th of next year. You need to sign up in order to take part and can do so for free via this link to a website for the course; when you do, you will also be given free access to a 10-day devotional connected to The God of the Way book and to the soundtrack from The Way movie, among other things. In the meantime, check out the promotional video for the study below.
