Ordinary Angels is the latest feature film from Kingdom Story Company, the top studio in the Christian genre, with movies like I Still Believe, American Underdog, and Jesus Revolution to its credit. This picture follows a struggling hairdresser, played by Oscar-winner Hilary Swank, who rallies her Kentucky town to help save the daughter of a widower father.

That latter character is portrayed by Alan Ritchson. He is the star of Amazon Prime Video's Reacher and is one of many Believers involved in the picture, including the producer brother duo of Andrew and Jon Erwin and director Jon Gunn. A synopsis from Lionsgate - partners of Kingdom Story Company - describes the movie as an "inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels."

Set in the 1990s, the final dramatic scenes playout during a historic blizzard in the Louisville area, when the young daughter of Ritchson's character is in urgent need of a liver transplant and a donor organ has become available. In an appearance promoting the film this week on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Swank described it as having what sounds like the right ingredients for success.

"I really love this movie: you'll laugh, you'll cry. It's a feel-good movie and I think we really need that in this time."

Ordinary Angels rolls out in limited theaters tomorrow for Thursday preview showings before its full release starting on Friday, February 23rd. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below to get a better feel for what to expect.
