The film based on a true story about a community rallying together manages the feat for its third consecutive weekend.

Ordinary Angels generated $1.9 million in ticket revenue from Friday through Sunday, according to data from The Numbers website. That was good enough for sixth place overall at the weekend box office, down three positions from the same period a week ago.

This is the latest picture from the Christian brother duo of Andrew and Jon Erwin and their Kingdom Story Company. The studio, in partnership with Lionsgate, is the top outfit in the faith-based genre, with movies like I Still Believe, American Underdog, and Jesus Revolution to its credit.

That latter picture generated more than $50 million in domestic box office revenue last year, which is far and away the top performance from one of the Erwin Brothers' films through Kingdom Story Company (I Can Only Imagine topped $80 million, but that came out in 2018, before the founding the studio). Ordinary Angels is not going to go that high, but it has delivered a solid $16 million through 17 days in release.
