"It's Christmas Again" Hits Theaters This Holiday Season
The faith-based musical promises to deliver the "true meaning of Christmas" in a production led by a school-aged cast.
Billing itself as "something the whole family will love," It's Christmas Again features a strong teenaged flavor. It tells the story of boy who wants nothing more than to spend his holiday vacation with his girlfriend. She, however, has signed up for a Christmas play at her church, which doesn't interest him, at least that is until a knock on the head while riding his skateboard somehow rockets him to the fields outside Bethlehem on the night Christ was born.
Whew, that's quite a story, and it will be accompanied by plenty of singing and dancing, too: the movie has ten original songs. Young actors Lawson Touliatos and Leela Owen play the aforementioned lead characters and they will be joined on screen by Christian actor Jason Burkey, whom we respect greatly and know personally since he played a principal part in our 2020 Yuletide feature Miracle on Christmas.
A synopsis for this film states that Touliatos' character "discovers the true meaning of Christmas" during his journey, and in a press release, writer/director Sandra Martin adds how important it is to her "to have entertainment that we can watch as a family," one, and that delivers the Nativity story during the holiday season, two.
"I can't think of a better time to share the story of how Jesus came to Earth than Christmas!"
As things now stand, audiences will only get one crack at watching It's Christmas Again in theaters, because it will play for just a single evening: November 29th.
