Kirk Cameron is a busy man. The former Growing Pains star constantly tours the nation with Living Room Reset, his marriage and parenting ministry, he has a new interview show debuting tomorrow night on Trinity Broadcasting Network, as we wrote about here, and today he announced a film project that's in the early stage of development.

In an interview with The Christian Post, Cameron says he is getting together with Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick to make his first big movie since they collaborated together on Fireproof, the 2008 Christian drama. That starred Cameron and was the third feature film from the Kendrick Brothers - the number one filmmakers in the Christian genre who are currently enjoying box office success with Overcomer - and it was a big hit, bringing in more than $33 million on a budget of just $500,000.

Cameron says this new film, which was his idea and he hopes to start shooting next year, will be a real collaboration and he is looking forward to working with the Kendricks again.

"I'm really excited about it. We're going to be getting together soon to get the script all written."

No word on what the film's going to be about, but Cameron will star in it and thinks it should be out in a year or so. As to the Kendrick Brothers, they will be among the guests this first season on One on One with Kirk Cameron, the aforementioned new show he's got on TBN, and they re-enact a famous scene from Fireproof, too...looks like fun.
