The Chosen is going big with its premiere of Season 3: episodes one and two will debut at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta on November 15th. In business since the late 1920s, the 4,665-seat venue more commonly hosts stage plays and concerts, but will roll out the red carpet for one night for this hit show about the life of Christ.

The tickets won't come cheap, though, with prices starting at $154.00 a pop and going as high as $354.00 for a seat in the loge, which does not include taxes or obligatory ticketing fees of as much as $55.00 each. In a note to supporters, show creator/director Dallas Jenkins acknowledges that those prices are steep, but is quick to justify them because all the proceeds from this premiere will be donated to the Salvation Army facility - Camp Hoblitzelle - that hosts the permanent set of The Chosen in Midlothian, TX.

As for what you can expect in these first two episodes, they will pick up where Season 2 left off: with The Sermon on the Mount. Actor Jonathan Roumie is back again in the role of Jesus and, according to a synopsis on Fox Theatre's website, "all 12 disciples are ready to follow Him to the ends of the earth." It will not, however, be smooth sailing since, among other issues, "the disciples face their biggest challenge yet when Jesus sends them out, two-by-two, to preach and perform miracles without Him."

If you would like to catch this red-carpet premiere of episodes one and two in Atlanta, you can purchase tickets via this link to Fox Theatre's homepage. If you live somewhere else, or cannot swing the price of admission, you will be able to watch at a movie theater in your area starting on Friday, November 18th. As of now, the first two episodes are scheduled to play for a five-day, limited engagement through distributor Fathom Events, and you can find out more on their website.

Episodes one and two will then be released on the streaming platforms of The Chosen shortly thereafter and will be available for free viewing. The remaining six episodes will roll out there as well, one per week, and also be free of charge. One final note: the trailer for Season 3 releases next Monday, October 17th, and Christian Film Blog will put it up on our website when it does.
