The Christian movie will enjoy its television debut on Easter.
It is a rare occurrence, indeed, for Christian fare to make it onto a major cable channel, but A Question of Faith will achieve the feat. The 2017 feature film will play in prime time Sunday on Lifetime, an outlet of the A & E Television Networks' family of channels.
From Christian screenwriter Ty Manns and veteran faith-based director Kevan Otto, who served as producer on our coming Yuletide movie, Miracle on Christmas, this picture features a strong cast of Christian actors, including Richard T. Jones - who is one of our favorites - T.C. Stallings and Grammy-nominated singer Jaci Velasquez. They are joined by Hollywood pros like Kim Fields, C. Thomas Howell and Gregory Alan Williams.
As to the story, a tragic car accident thrusts three families together and onto a path toward God's love, grace and mercy. The picture was distributed theatrically in the fall of 2017 by the Christian movie outfit Pure Flix and it brought in almost $2.6 million at the box office.
Since then, it has also been made available via the streaming platform Netflix, but this Lifetime appearance could deliver a new and sizable audience. Producer Angela White believes the airing is coming at a particularly important time, as our country wrestles with the coronavirus pandemic and the fear and anxiety it has spawned.
"God's power is glorified in this film in a way I've personally not seen before and I believe that bringing His love into people's homes through this film, beginning Easter weekend, is much needed."
A Question of Faith will premiere on Lifetime this coming Sunday, April 12th, at 8:00 PM EDT/7:00 PM CDT, with re-airings planned in April and May. The trailer below will give you a better feel for the movie.
