For the third time, Candace Cameron Bure is lending her star power to The Salvation Army for Christmas. The Hallmark Channel regular will join former first lady Laura Bush and other celebrity ambassadors to help the Christian charity raise money for the underprivileged in what the group is calling its Rescue Christmas campaign.

Cameron Bure says in a press release she's "grateful for the opportunity" and praised The Salvation Army for the "Christmas miracle" it helps perform by providing food and gifts for thousands of struggling families every year. But her hopes are broader than just meeting people's physical needs. In an interview with The Christian Post, the actress, who is a devoted Believer, says her wish for the Christmas season is "for people to know Jesus Christ."

"It always is. It's my goal in life. It's my mission in life. I love people and I want to share with them the best news I've ever known in my entire life."

Wow, what a strong statement from our Christian sister! And regular readers of Christian Film Blog know it is a consistent message from Cameron Bure, who is very outspoken about her faith.

Finally, you can catch her doing what she does for a living - acting - in her new Yuletide flick on the Hallmark Channel - If I Only Had Christmas - which will air November 29th at 8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST.
