Excitement is building around the world for fans of The Chosen as we close in on the third season of the popular streaming show, and creator/director Dallas Jenkins whet their appetites today with the release of the trailer. It features glimpses of some of the most well-known moments from the life of Christ, as He shares the Good News of the Gospel, works miracles and stands boldly in the face of growing opposition.

On that latter score, the trailer delivers one particularly tension-filled scene between Jonathan Roumie, the actor who plays Jesus, and a Pharisee accusing him of blasphemy. It also shows snippets of several famous healings from Scripture, including the woman who suffered from a bleeding disorder for 12 years (Luke 8:42 - 48) and the raising to life of the daughter of synagogue ruler Jairus (Mark 5:35 - 43).

The feeding of the 5,000 (Matthew 14:13 - 21), certainly among Jesus' most astounding miracles, is also featured in the trailer and it will be the scene that caps off Season 3 in the 8th and final episode. The first episode picks up where Season 2 left off: with the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5 - 7). The entire trailer runs just under three minutes and can be viewed below.

As Jenkins mentions at the end, episodes one and two will release together in movie theaters on November 18th for a five-day limited engagement; tickets go on sale next Tuesday, October 25th via this link to distributor Fathom Events. Those episodes will later release on the show's streaming platforms and be followed each week by a new one.
