Michael Jr. Hits the Big Screen for One Night Only

The Christian comedian is bringing his act to movie theaters nationwide this Thursday.

His film is called More Than Funny and it features the "clean" comedy Michael Jr. has made his hallmark. If you've never seen him on stage, you may remember him from the Kendrick Brothers' hit movie War Room, in which he played the amusing, but also convicting, friend of lead actor T.C. Stalling's character.


In addition to his comedy routine, this movie features three testimonies he hopes will inspire audience members to act on their own calling from God. Michael Jr. tells The Christian Post in an interview that his work is not comedy for comedy's sake, but a means to spread the gospel.

" I want to help people understand if they have a purpose they should walk in their purpose. The story of Jesus is one of the stories that I tell on the way to that goal. So it just happens to be the most powerful story that people are really, really responding to."

More than Funny is a one-night, limited engagement this Thursday, October 18, so mark it on your calendar. In the meantime, check out the trailer:
