Jesus Revolution will endure a massive drop in its theater count heading into Easter Weekend, which is its seventh weekend in release. The film from the Christian brother team of Andrew and Jon Erwin will be available in just over 600 venues as of today, according to The Numbers website, which is down from 1,415 last weekend and a peak of 2,575 theaters.

It has performed well since it released in late February, having brought in more than $50 million in box office revenue. In so doing, the picture joins select company among movies in the faith-based genre to have pulled that off, as we reported here.

The third feature film from the Erwin Brothers under their partnership with Lionsgate studio, Jesus Revolution features a strong cast in this true story of the so-called Jesus Movement from the late 1960s and early 1970s, including Kelsey Grammer, Jonathan Roumie and Joel Courtney. Based on a book by prominent California pastor Greg Laurie, it recounts his coming to faith as a teenager at the time.

The movie will release for purchase in digital format next Tuesday, April 11th, and then on DVD and Blu-ray on April 25th. You can pre-order today via this link to its website.
